Playing a part in making our football environment safe, fun and inclusive by raising standards, raising awareness and taking action, making the accreditation worthwhile to be part of.
The FA Charter Standard programme exists to positively improve people’s football experience through the accreditation. The FA Charter Standard Programme is open to all grassroots Clubs & Leagues. Having achieved the ‘FA Charter Standard’ accreditation, demonstrates that the League offer well-run and sustainable football. We are proud to prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding, as well as the values of the ‘FA’s Respect Programme’ as part of our game.
The FA have a clear vision to educate, empower, enable and equip Leagues & Clubs to ‘be the best places for people to play and enjoy football’.
Any Member Club not Charter Standard, at the time of the accreditation being awarded to the League, will have a two year period in which to obtain the Charter Standard accreditation. Full help and support for Clubs will be available from the League Charter Standard Officer and Devon County FA.
New Clubs wishing to join the PYL should be ‘FA Charter Standard’ Clubs. Any Clubs applying to join without the accreditation, if accepted, will have a year in which to obtain the accreditation.
